The relationship between mentor and mentee

The relationship between a mentor and a mentee is based on trust
in the mentor in the area in which he / she mentors.

No relationship between a mentor and a mentee is the same. They come in different shapes and sizes.
However, there are key features that every mentor-mentee relationship should have:

  • Willingness to help each other succeed
  • Expand the information as needed
  • Provide and receive feedback in both ways
  • Improve interpersonal skills
  • Actively listen and communicate
  • Embrace each other
  • Respect everyone’s time
  • Suggestion for reflection

There is no such thing as a perfect relationship between a mentor and a client. Each relationship is unique to the people involved. Whether you are exchanging career advice or personal stories, the mentor and mentee should respect each other. And who knows? This relationship between a mentor and a mentee could extend to a lifelong friendship.

We recommend for a personal change in life!
